Privacy Policy
This page describes what Black Dog Septic collects through this website and what you can do about it. It covers the website only, not information you give us by phone, by email, or in the course of work on a property.
What the enquiry form collects
The contact form asks for your name, a phone number or email address, the property location, the service you need, and any details you want to add. Nothing else is required.
That information is sent to us as an email and nowhere else. This website has no database and does not store your enquiry. If you gave an email address it is set as the reply address, so we can answer you directly.
When you submit the form your IP address is held briefly in the server's memory, so that the same connection cannot post repeatedly. It is not written to a file, not stored in a database, not attached to your enquiry, and is discarded when the server restarts. The contents of your enquiry are never written to our logs.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies, and does not ask you to accept any.
We do count page views, using Vercel Web Analytics. It records which pages are opened and roughly where in the world from, and it does that without cookies and without following you to other websites. There is nothing in it that identifies you to us.
Who else handles this information
We use two service providers, and each sees only what it needs to do its job:
- Vercel hosts this website, serves its pages, and provides the page counts described above.
- Resend delivers the enquiry form to us as an email.
Where this information goes
Both providers operate outside Canada, so information sent through this website may be processed or stored in another country and may be accessible to that country's authorities under its laws. If you would rather not use the form for that reason, call or text us instead.
How long we keep it
Enquiries reach us as email and we keep them indefinitely, so that we can look back at earlier correspondence about a property. We do not set an automatic deletion date.
If you would rather we did not, you can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.
